HJSLab Stainless Steel Lab Gas Pipeline Purification and Filtration Systems for Turkey Laboratories

Your gas cylinder says 99.999% purity on the label. But by the time that gas reaches your instrument, it might be closer to 99.99% — or worse. The culprit? Everything between the cylinder and the instrument: regulators, fittings, tubing joints, and the tubing itself. Each component introduces trace amounts of moisture, oxygen, and particulates.

Where Contamination Actually Happens

Most people assume contamination comes from leaks — gas escaping out means air sneaking in. That's part of it, sure. But the bigger issue is outgassing. Every internal surface of your gas piping system slowly releases trapped moisture and adsorbed gases. Stainless steel is far better than copper or polymer tubing in this regard, but even 316L BA-grade pipe has some outgassing, especially when first installed or after the system has been idle.

HJSLab, headquartered in Suzhou, China, has equipped laboratories across Turkey — from Istanbul's pharmaceutical research centres to Ankara's university labs — with gas piping systems that include integrated purification stages. Our approach is simple: don't rely solely on cylinder purity. Build purification into the pipeline itself.

Inline Purification — The Last Line of Defence

HJSLab installs inline gas purifiers at strategic points in the piping system, typically just before the point-of-use panel. These aren't generic filters — they're getter-based or catalytic purifiers specifically matched to the target gas.

For nitrogen and argon, we use heated getter purifiers that strip O₂ and H₂O down to less than 1 ppb. For hydrogen, catalytic purifiers remove O₂ through controlled reaction. For helium carrier gas, a combination of molecular sieve and getter technology brings impurities to sub-ppb levels.

The result? Even if your cylinder is "only" 5N purity (99.999%), the gas reaching your instrument is effectively 7N or better. That's the difference between acceptable and excellent analytical performance.

Filtration at Every Stage

Purification handles molecular contaminants. Filtration handles particles. HJSLab's standard piping systems include three levels of particle filtration:

At the cylinder manifold: a 7 μm sintered metal filter catches any debris from the regulator or cylinder valve. Mid-line: a 0.5 μm filter removes particulates generated by valve operation or pipe erosion. At point of use: a 0.003 μm (3 nm) membrane filter provides the final barrier, ensuring zero particles reach your instrument.

Each filter housing is all-stainless-steel construction with face-seal fittings — no polymeric O-rings that could introduce organic contamination into the gas stream.

Turkish Labs and the TSE Framework

Turkey's scientific infrastructure is growing rapidly, and TSE (Turkish Standards Institution) standards increasingly align with EU directives for laboratory equipment and safety. HJSLab's gas piping systems are designed to meet these evolving requirements, with CE-compatible documentation and materials traceability from our ISO 9001 certified Suzhou factory.

The Belt and Road Initiative has strengthened trade links between China and Turkey, making procurement from Chinese manufacturers both practical and cost-effective. HJSLab ships to Istanbul, Izmir, and Ankara via sea freight through the Mediterranean, with typical delivery times of 20-25 days. We provide full technical support in English, and can arrange Turkish-language documentation through our local partners.

Getting the best possible gas purity at your instrument isn't about buying the most expensive cylinders — it's about engineering the pathway between cylinder and instrument to preserve and enhance that purity. That's what HJSLab's integrated purification and filtration systems deliver.
