The worktop surface gets a static-dissipative laminate with resistance between 10⁶ and 10⁹ ohms — the sweet spot that drains charge safely without creating a shock hazard. Each workstation has a dedicated M8 stainless grounding stud connected via copper braid to the building's equipotential bonding network. Measured ground resistance stays below 1 ohm, meeting both IEC 61340-5-1 and ANSI/ESD S20.20 requirements.

Three-Layer Protection and TSE Compliance

Layer one: the dissipative work surface. Layer two: wrist strap grounding jacks built into the bench edge — operators connect their wrist straps here, keeping body voltage below the damage threshold. Layer three: ESD floor mats beneath the bench, creating a secondary discharge path through ESD footwear.
