Turkey's laboratory sector is booming. New university campuses, expanding pharmaceutical companies, and growing industrial R&D facilities are all creating demand for laboratory infrastructure. But Turkish procurement teams face a familiar dilemma: European equipment is expensive, and local options are limited for specialised systems like lab gas piping.
Chinese manufacturers are filling that gap. HJSLab, headquartered in Suzhou, China, has been exporting lab gas piping systems to markets across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe — and Turkey is increasingly on our project list.
Chinese Engineering, International Standards
HJSLab isn't a trading company reselling someone else's products. We design, manufacture, test, and ship from our own 10,000+ square metre factory in Suzhou. Our production team includes engineers trained in process piping design, certified welders operating orbital welding equipment, and quality inspectors following ISO 9001 procedures.
The materials are Chinese-produced but internationally certified. Our 316L stainless steel tubing carries mill certificates traceable to specific heats. Welding follows ASME B31.3 process piping code. Finished systems undergo pneumatic pressure testing at 1.5 times working pressure for 24 hours.
This isn't unusual for Chinese manufacturers anymore. China's laboratory equipment industry has invested heavily in technology and quality systems over the past decade.

The Cost Equation
A complete lab gas piping system from HJSLab costs approximately 30-40% less than an equivalent European system. For a Turkish university building five new research laboratories, that saving can fund an additional lab's worth of analytical instruments.
The cost advantage comes from China's structural position in global manufacturing: world-leading stainless steel production, lower labour costs, high automation, and short supply chains from raw material to finished product.
We're transparent about pricing. Our proposals include itemised equipment lists, material specifications, and clear pricing for engineering, manufacturing, shipping, and installation support. No hidden costs.

Modular Design for Growing Labs
Turkish universities often build laboratories in phases. HJSLab's modular approach installs a main distribution backbone with pre-planned branch points for future connections. When new labs come online, technicians connect pre-fabricated drop-down assemblies to the nearest branch — typically a one-day job without disrupting existing laboratories.
This forward-thinking design is standard practice at HJSLab because we see it constantly in our Chinese domestic market, where university and industrial laboratory expansion is rapid and ongoing.
Logistics China to Turkey
Sea freight from Shanghai to Mersin or Istanbul ports takes approximately 20-28 days. HJSLab manages export documentation, customs paperwork, and coordinates with Turkish clearing agents. All technical documentation is provided in English.
For projects in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, HJSLab arranges on-site installation supervision. Our engineers work with local teams, conduct commissioning tests, and provide hands-on training before handover.
Chinese manufacturing isn't what it used to be. Let HJSLab prove it. Send us your project requirements — we'll respond with a full proposal within five working days.
